The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has released its cut-off marks for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

The general UNIJOS cut-off mark is 180, but applicants to competitive programmes must meet a higher departmental cut-off mark.

For example, candidates need at least 250 for Medicine and Surgery, 240 for Law, 230 for Doctor of Pharmacy, and 220 for Nursing Science.

Meeting the cut-off mark allows you to register for screening, but it does not automatically guarantee admission.

Candidates who scored below 180 in the 2026 UTME are not eligible to apply for the university's screening exercise.

Important Things to Remember

The published figures are screening eligibility marks, not automatic admission scores.

Admission will still depend on factors such as your O'Level results, screening performance, available spaces and the number of candidates applying for the course.

Make sure your O'Level result is uploaded to JAMB CAPS. Candidates who fail to upload their results may not be considered for admission.

Also confirm that UNIJOS remains your first-choice institution before completing the screening registration.

Final Thoughts

The University of Jos cut-off mark for the 2026/2027 admission exercise starts from 180, while competitive courses require between 190 and 250.

Medicine has the highest cut-off mark at 250, followed by Law at 240 and Doctor of Pharmacy at 230.

Check the requirement for your course carefully before paying for the screening exercise. Applicants who do not meet their course requirement should consider an appropriate change of course rather than completing an application for a programme they are not eligible for.
