Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi has released its Notice of 2026/2027 Online Screening for prospective candidates, via a Special Edition of the ATBU Herald from the Office of the Registrar, dated 6th July 2026.
Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know.
Who Is Eligible
- Candidates who chose ATBU as their first choice in the 2026 JAMB Examination and scored 160 and above.
- Direct Entry (DE) candidates.
How to Register
- Visit the portal. Go to screening.atbu.edu.ng and log in using your JAMB number.
- Generate your RRR. Create a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number using your JAMB registration number as the username and "Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi" as the institution.
- Pay the fee. Pay ₦2,000 in online screening fees into ATBU's account using an ATM card or at any bank of your choice.
- Complete the form. Fill in your GSM number, email address, and every other required field on the screening form.
- Submit and download. Submit the form, then download your screening acknowledgement slip — you'll need it for physical screening.
Key Dates
- Online screening: Monday 13th July – Monday 27th July 2026 (the portal stays open for two weeks).
- Physical screening: begins after online screening closes and runs through 22nd August 2026.
Note on Credentials
ATBU will verify your original credentials in person at physical screening. If you applied with awaiting results, update your O'Level results on your JAMB profile before then.
